CUCURON

Cucuron is in the heart of the Luberon National Park and near the famous village of Lourmarin. The South Luberon area has retained its agricultural charms and the villages are surrounded by olive groves and wineries.

Apart from looking at the grapes, there are plenty of local restaurants from simple country fare to gastronomic restaurants within 5 km. of "La Fontaine".

The Luberon Park offers lots of hiking possibilities from easy to challenging. The villages are never too far apart so you can always rest and have a leisurely glass of wine or coffee.

There are tennis courts in Cucuron and in Lourmarin at 5 km. (3 miles) distance. There is a beautiful lake nearby for avid swimmers.

There are several music festivals. Aix-en-Provence is a 30-minute drive from Cucuron and hosts a world-renowned jazz festival in June. info Avignon is an easy 50-minute drive and the locale of the International Theatre Festival. Every sunday there is an antique market in isle-su-la-Sorgue at 40 minutes from Cucuron. In the summer, there are many night markets and other outdoor activities in Cucuron and all the other neighboring villages.

For those of you seeking out the Mediterranean and its beautuful coastline, you will find Marseille and its gorgeous Cote Bleue within less than an hour's drive.
